All products sold by Databay are covered by the full Australian manufacturer warranty. Warranty periods vary by brand and product type as shown below.

What's Covered
Defects in materials or workmanship
Premature drive failure under normal use
Firmware issues that render the drive unusable
Dead-on-arrival (DOA) products
What's Not Covered
- Physical damage from drops, water, fire, or improper voltage
- Data loss or recovery costs (always keep backups)
- Normal wear and tear beyond the rated TBW (Total Bytes Written)
- Use outside the product's intended specifications
- Products with removed or tampered serial number labels
How to Claim
To make a warranty claim, contact us at hello@data-bay.com.au with:
- Your Databay order number
- Product serial number (found on the SSD label)
- A brief description of the issue
We will assess your claim and coordinate directly with the manufacturer on your behalf. In most cases, a replacement drive will be shipped within 5–10 business days.
Australian Consumer Guarantees
In addition to manufacturer warranty, all products are covered by consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law. These rights exist independently of any manufacturer warranty and cannot be excluded.
